Why 52°
Vedansh has done two things for as long as he can remember — collect caps and play cricket. His cap collection started as an essential for a sport played under the blazing sun, but evolved into a craze powered by street style and a flair for fashion. He noticed a kink though: that premium and fashionable cap brands only sold in India with an exorbitant markup. Determined to revolutionize the market, Vedansh founded 52 Degree with a mission to offer an international aesthetic in stylish, functional, and affordable caps for all. At 52 Degree we go one step further — providing custom designs and personalized motifs for each customer. Founder’s Note
At 22 years of age, Vedansh Siotia has honed his lifelong craving to build his own venture to create something extraordinary with 52 Degree. Born and raised in New Delhi, Vedansh attended Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and earned his B.Com Hons. degree from SBSC Delhi University. From the age of 7, Vedansh played cricket professionally, excelling as a wicketkeeper batsman at U-19 State Levels and Nationals. During his teenage years, his travels abroad sparked a keen interest in affordable and fashionable caps, leading him to start developing his own collection. Vedansh's unique blend of athletic discipline and fashionforward thinking drives his innovative approach, making him a dynamic force in the industry.

The story behind our brand name comes from the hottest summer day ever recorded in delhi— 52*C. As the youth who will inherit this planet, it’s our responsibility to preserve our ecological resources and work to prevent climate change— so that we don’t face a day hotter than 52*. We commit to causes for our environment by donating to CC organisations, and raising our own awareness initiatives through monthly community cleanups, or have a day in a month where we plant the number of trees = caps sold by us during that month.
